 Now that I have been accepted to the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), where I intend to major in Microelectronic Engineering, I will increase my understanding and build relationships that will help me to achieve my goals.

I am incredibly grateful to have the Bridge Foundation embrace my uniqueness and believe in me and what I will be able to contribute to society in the years to come It encourages me to keep breaking molds and stereotypes and work for positive change in the world as I attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and beyond.

 With support and encouragement from the Bridge Foundation, I’m excited to be attending UNC Asheville this year. I will miss Charlotte, my family and friends and my favorite tacos, but I’m so excited to call Asheville home for the next four years. I plan on majoring in Psychology at UNC-Asheville and hope to serve in the Peace Corps or Teach for America after graduation.

As for my plans at Duke, I want to become involved in research, volunteer work around Durham, and help at the Duke campus farm. I plan to become a doctor who values preventative medicine above all else by integrating lifestyle changes into the lives of my patients.
